Memorial Gates These wrought-iron gates standing at the entrance to the Memorial Gardens on the Square are a memorial to 72 Harborians who died in the Second World War 1939-45. The gates came from Gopsall Park, near Shackerstone, when it was demolished in 1951 .The gardens were created on the site of the former shop of a well known local photographer Gulliver Speight. The poppies are the symbol of remembrance adopted after the first WorldWar 1914-18.
