written, namely: EAST RIDING And in this same THWING, he holds 10 carucates; in RUDSTON, 8 carucates; in two (East and West) HESLERTONS, 10 carucates and 6 bovates; and in SCAMPSTON 5 carucates. In (Kirk)BURN, and TIBTHORPE, 32 carucates and 2 bovates, but part of that land is of Robert Fossard's holding. In BRANTINGHAM, (North) CAVE and HOTHAM, 9 carucates and 1bovate. In (South) CLIFFE, 2 bovates; in KILNWICK (Percy), 16 carucates; and in MILLINGTON, 6 bovates. In BIRDSALL, 2 carucates; in GARROWBY (Hall), 6 carucates; and in; EDDLETHORPE, 4 carucates.
